Deanna Shrodes is a passionate lover of latte, and Ben & Jerry's Fudge Brownie ice cream. She also enjoys writing, reading, exercising, and cooking. She loves jumping in the waves at the beach and squishing her toes in the sand. She likes bubble baths by candlelight, and lighting as many candles in her house as possible. She delights in hearing her children play their instruments. She loves rocking chairs, sitting by fireplaces, and watching countless Tampa Bay sunsets. She loves meeting new people and finding out what makes them unique. She enjoys journaling, and writing letters to friends. The most important part of her life aside from her relationship with God is her marriage to her life's partner, Larry who she has been married to for 20 years. They have three children, Dustin (18) , Jordan (17) & Savanna Rose (11).
Deanna began is a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God, and has served on the pastoral staff with her husband Larry of each church that they have served in their 20 of ministry together. Currently, she serves alongside him as co-pastor at Northside Assembly of God in Tampa, Florida.
Deanna is an accomplished singer, keyboard player, songwriter and recording artist. She also has a preaching and teaching ministry.
Her ministry has been featured in the Pentecostal Evangel, Billy Graham's Evangelistic Association's Decision Today, Religion.com, Crosswalk.com, USA Network News, the Christian Television Network, and many more. Her writings have been featured in Jill Briscoe's magazine, "Just Between Us" for ministry women, Woman's Touch, Enrichment Journal, Global Pastor's Wives Network, and "Shepherdess" Magazine, just to name a few. Deanna's work was featured in Simon & Shuster's "Chocolate Series" for women. The book is entitled, Chocolate for a Woman's Courage and was released in November 2002 . These bestselling "chocolate" books of inspiration and motivation are sold everywhere, with over two million in print! She has written the books, Intimate Woman, and Above Average Woman, that have brought change to many women’s lives.
Deanna's forte' is ministry in music as well as to women, but she is received well in any setting because of her love and compassion for God's people. She serves as a featured speaker at camps, retreats, conferences, revivals, church services, secular community events, and women's events. She is the founder of Pastoring Partners ministry, and founder and host of the “Unstoppable” Conference for pastor’s wives and women in ministry. Currently she also serves as the Assemblies of God women's ministries representative for the Tampa Bay area. Her life's passion is to help people become fully devoted followers of Christ, to be whole, healed and walking in their destiny!
