The Unstoppable Conference 2007 was unbelievable! Mere words can't really describe it, but I'm going to try my best anyway, as well as share some photos here with you.
First of all, the accomodations at the Hilton Inn Garden North were just fabulous...the rooms, the pool, jacuzzi, our meeting room, the food, EVERYTHING. Top quality. Not ONE COMPLAINT from any of our attendees about it, and that, for this many women present was a miracle!!! (Any of you who have ever led a retreat or conference know this!) We had nothing but rave reviews on the accomodations, the meetings and everything concerning the weekend.
This first year of Unstoppable was absolutely unforgettable. Many said they believe this conference has the potential to be THE absolute foremost conference for women in ministry, not only in Florida but nationwide. I believe it!
Yes, we had fabulous accomodations and amenties but the main thing was THE POWER OF GOD that flowed in the place over the weekend. REFRESHING AND RENEWING don't even begin to describe it. Pastor Jennifer Lee and her worship team from Southeastern University brought us to strongly into the presence of God we hardly wanted to stop to hear God's Word but we knew it was essential that we have that balance of worship/Word. After the Word of God was preached, however, we had worship and altar time that seemed to go on forever and nobody wanted to leave.
As promised, we had workshops about co-pastoring, mastering the mix of ministry and family, the biblical basis for women in pastoral leadership, breaking intimidation, staff pastoring and armor bearing, and conflict in the church. Many ladies said, "this gave me the tools I needed...the empowerment to go forward in boldness and do what God has called me to do..." The workshops were an incredible boost that so many needed.
The conference exceeded all of our expectations. The team we had for last year’s conference was dynamic and this coming year's will be equally so. Make your plans now to come to Tampa in September of 2008. You will not be sorry, I promise. Just ask anyone who was there! (If you want to ask, just go to our message boards and post.) I encourage you to start making your plans now to come and talk to a few friends about coming and sharing conference costs (hotel rooms). Some women brought their entire staff and experienced the blessing together. Others joined together with a pastor’s wives or women in ministry in their area to share costs. New friends were made! Old friendships were strengthened! Two pastors wives received an incredible emotional healing - one who had just had a nervous breakdown and one of the verge of one - were dramatically changed through the power of God that flowed at this conference.
No matter what you haveto do - what you have to change, cancel or work through to get there, I really encourage you to get there in 2008.
This year’s conference will be at the Hilton Garden Inn, North Tampa, September 4-6, 2008. The conference kicks off on Thursday night with a banquet, and concludes on Saturday afternoon at lunch.
